cohesion در آزمون speaking آیلتس به معنای انسجام و ارتباط منطقی در گفتار و نوشتار است. یعنی در کلام ما باید عبارت‌های باشد، که اجزای کلام را به درستی مرتبط می‌کند.

به این مثال دقت کنید:

.I went out. I bought some fruit. The fruit was delicious. I ate the fruit. I bought some more

در این حالت، چندین جمله بدون هیچ ارتباطی در کنار هم گذاشته شده است که خواندن و درک را دشوار می‌کند.

حالا به این مثال دقت کنید:

Yesterday, I went out and decided to buy some fruit. Then I went to a fruit shop and bought them. Because the fruit was so .delicious , I decided to buy some more.

خواندن این جمله راحت‌تر و طبیعی‌تر است. اجزایی مانند: and/ then/ because / some more  باعث ایجاد cohesion ( انسجام ) می‌شود.

چگونه cohesion را بالا ببریم؟

استفاده از discourse markers:

اینها عبارات ربطی هستند که به صورت طبیعی در کلام و باعث پیوستگی آن می‌شود.

مثال:

discourse marker for ordering:

first/ the first thing/ second/ secondly/ later/ after this/ finally

.First, we should make sure everyone is present

For adding information

also/ besides/ additionally/ in addition/ and one more thing

.In addition, this process might make it worst

Showing opinion

to be honest/ essentially/ frankly, basically./ actually/ definitely

.To be honest, I didn’t want to be mean

استفاده از linkers ( connective)

linkers کلماتی هستند که جملات را به صورت منطقی به هم وصل می‌کنند.

مثال‌ها:

also

as well as

another reason is

.Another reason is the lack of proper knowledge

Time phrase

then

before

these days

at present

in the future

.In the future, more and more people will buy E-books

cause and solution

it is because

استفاد از ضمایر( pronouns)، مترادف ( synonyms)

با استفاده از ضمایر و مترادف ها، به کلام خود cohesion بدهید.

مثال:

.I saw Marry on the street, and she looked very tired

.The beauty of the beach impressed me and I was fascinated by that view
